How to setup a Paper server

This tutorial was made on the basis of minecraftversion.net and consulhosting.nl. It is possible to use other hosting providers in addition to ConsulHosting to set up a Paper server.

Paper is used for Multiplayer servers where plugins can be added. Paper is known for being optimized to reduce lagg. Paper is the ideal plugin for any Minecraft server and network!

It is absolutely free to download Paper on MinecraftVersion. It is also possible to download Paper in any desired Minecraft version.


 Go to minecraftversion.net

 Go to the Paper download page 

 Download the Paper version of your choice by clicking the Download button.  

 Go to your server hostings control panel and login, we use panel.consulhosting.nl in the example. The process is almost the same with other Minecraft hostings. 

 Go to your server File Manager and delete all files.

 Upload the downloaded jar file. 

 Rename the file to "server.jar".  

 Start your server and accept the Minecraft EULA. 

 You have successfully installed Paper for your Minecraft server. All necessary files are created after startup. Plugins can be added in the created "plugins" folder.
